IR Distribution over your existing TV coax:
IR-4000 & IR-4100 ![]() The IR-4000 & IR-4101 work together to allow IR signals to be inserted onto a coax cable in one to eight TV locations and extracted from the coax in another location. IR-4000 & IR-4101 are sold separately.
IR repeating concepts: Most people are familiar with Infra-Red remote controls because they use them to operate their TV and other devices on a daily basis. However, some people may not be familiar with IR repeating. IR repeating allows the user to control devices which are not within the direct line of sight of the remote control. This is most commonly used in distributed audio/video systems where the source components are centrally located. ![]() Basic IR Setup
A basic IR system, like the one shown below, is often used when an audio/video signal is distributed to a remote TV location using an RF modulator. The IR-4100 is located near the TV, providing a connection for an IR receiver, and the IR-4000 is located near the audio/video source, providing an IR emitter output. ![]() IR-5000/ IR-2400
All-In-One IR-Receiver
HIDE YOUR PLASMA RECEIVER, AUDIO SOURCE, CABLE BOX & DVD EQUIPMENT IN THE CABINET OR A SEPERATE ROOM AND CONTROL IT WITHOUT EVER OPENING THE DOORS AGAIN!
![]() • All in One IR Control Kit • Plasma, LCD, Sunlight Proof IR Receiver • Miniature Remote Head IR Receiver • 4 IR emitters/flashers included (IR-3002) • Expandable to 8 emitters/flashers • Status LED's for power and IR signal indication • Versatile mounting accessories and power supply included • Frequency Range 30KHz - 60KHz (not for use with Bang and Olsen) If you experience a problem controlling a Scientific Atlanta cable box, but you are able to control other devices, please contact our Tech Support line for assistance. The new code has been implemented on all items sold after April 2009. IR Distribution
The new IR-5000 All-in-One IR Hub and Receiver includes everything needed to create a 1-room IR repeating system. Providing four IR emitter outputs, plasma proof receiver, two double-headed IR flashers and power supply, the IR-5000 is an ideal IR system for controlling devices behind a cabinet door. Its versatile mounting accessories include a three-in-one receiver (tabletop, hole/bullet type, and a miniature remote head), four IR emitter holsters and an IR receiver holster. ![]() By providing all the essential components needed in one package, the IR-5000 simplifies the equipment needed for a single room system. A built-in receiver connected with a 36-inch cord allows it to be placed discretely. Wired directly to the IR-Repeater Hub, the signal is routed to the IR emitters, which plug directly into one of the four available emitter outputs. The IR-5000 is plasma/fluorescent-proof allowing it to maintain signal integrity when placed near compact fluorescent lamps, plasma and LCD TVs, or in direct sunlight. Utilizing the included mounting accessories makes it easy for installers to quickly and cleanly complete the job. ![]() IR-2400 -
The new Remote Head IR-Receiver (IR-2400) features an attached two-piece design with a 36-inch cord allowing the remote sensor to be placed in an inconspicuous location while the remaining electronics can be hidden behind a TV or other components. With its 3-wire screw connectors, the IR-2400 can be wired back to an IR hub, such as the Channel Vision P-1205, located in an enclosure or rack to create a whole-house IR-repeating system. Also a plasma/fluorescent-proof receiver, the IR-2400 utilizes optical and electrical filtering against interference and includes the following mounting accessories: hole mount, tabletop mount and receiver holster for easy flexible installation options. ![]() |
