Question:

I was just wondering what the output is for each zone on the A-bus 4source 4zone unit? Would I then need a 4 zone amplifier unit to send the signal for each channel to the speakers?

Answer:

The ABUS system you are referring to is the P-1044. The P-1044 is not an amplifier, it is an audio matrix, however the keypads in this system have built in amplifiers so there is no need to use a separate multi-channel amplifier to power the speakers. The ABUS system does not have a specific wattage rating, because of the design it is very efficient in the way it amplifies the speakers though and produces great quality sound. You would run Cat5/Cat6 from the P-1044 to the keypad locations in each zone, you would then wire your speakers directly to the keypads.
